Stay Informed: Key HubSpot Product Updates from February 2024

Written by Julia Tarini | Mar 7, 2024 8:15:36 PM

Keeping up with the latest software updates can be challenging, especially when it comes to a platform with as many features as HubSpot. To help you stay on top of your game, we're launching a new blog series highlighting a few key monthly updates from HubSpot.

This month, we'll be focusing on February's updates, encompassing features across various HubSpot hubs, including Marketing, Sales, CMS, and CRM.

Improved User Experience and Organization

Enhanced Product Updates Interface

Finding specific updates within your portal just got easier. HubSpot has implemented a new interface with search functionality, allowing you to filter updates by type, app, or subscription level. Additionally, left-hand side filters based on update status provide further organization.

To navigate to the Product Updates page, simply click on your account dropdown in the top right and click “Product Updates”.

Streamlined Reporting and Social Media Management

Quick Filters for Reporting Dashboards

Merging two previously available betas, HubSpot now offers a unified quick group filter experience within your reporting dashboards. This simplifies the process of generating specific report views.

AI Assistant for Social Media

Enhance your social media management with the new AI assistant, directly integrated within the social media tool. Remember, AI assistants are best utilized for brainstorming and generating ideas, not replacing your own expertise.

Strengthen Sales Pipeline Management

Deal Pipeline Rule

Gain greater control over your sales pipeline with the introduction of Deal Pipeline Rules. Define specific rules for each pipeline, such as restricting deal creation to a single stage, preventing skipping stages, or controlling editing access. This ensures a consistent and organized sales process.

Enhanced Content Management and Security

Granular Access Control for Published Blogs

CMS Hub users can now control access to published blog posts. Define user permissions such as viewing teasers or granting full access to specific groups, ensuring complete control over your content visibility.

Additional Highlights

Domain Authentication Alert

Earlier this year, Gmail and Yahoo Mail announced updated sending policies to help reduce spam. To ensure your marketing emails that are sent from HubSpot comply with the new authentication standards, HubSpot has implemented an alert on the Marketing Email Manage page. Now, when a published automated email’s “from address” does not have the appropriate measures in place, the alert will alert will pop up.

Cookie Consent Banner Customization

Tailor your website's cookie consent banner to seamlessly integrate with your site's design, offering more customization options like colors, positioning, and size.

Configure Specific Association Limits

Admins can now configure the number of associations allowed for specific object records. This includes setting limits based on record type and creating custom association labels. For example, when looking at company-to-contact associations, you can customize the limit of companies per contact, or vice versa.

You can also create association labels, such as, “billing contact” and set it so you’re only able to have one billing contact per company.
